Are the lights safe for spiders? Yep! the wires are enamel coated for outdoor use. LEDs mean no heat. I made a larger enclosure for personal use that I tested on locust before adding my own spider 'Barcus' to his own Underdark themed enclosure. The mushroom lighting is for decoration/fun purposes only. Additional lighting, and a day and night schedule should be provided separately.
