To avoid long delays between purchase and shipping, baby spiders will be available when the weather is warmer. The date they go online will be posted here ahead of time and on the pinned post of the Arachnamoria Facebook page.
ABOUT ARACHNAMORIA
Arachnamoria is technically a small business, but in reality it is my passion hobby set up to fund my massive jumping spider addiction. When buying from Arachnamoria you will be supporting a small business and ethical breeding.
My spiders are UK captive bred and sold at a safe age where the natural die-off has significantly decreased to help keepers enjoy their spiders.
I take pride in what I do, and make sure that the spiders always come first.
I also promote habitat-first husbandry, and share my wealth of knowledge to help all pet jumping spiders live a happy life.

Why Buy From Arachnamoria
Every spider I own, including all babies bred, are not stock or profit; they are my pets. I love them dearly and raise the tiny slings with the same love, care and attention that I do with the ones I plan to keep (which is alot). Some may think "If they aren't stock why charge for them at all?" I charge fair prices for my care and time, having a price also ensures that keepers thinking of getting a spider consider the costs and care involved before purchasing. They are little living creatures with bundles of personality, for this reason I won't ever offer discounts on them.
Ethical Practice
Care and Consideration
The insects I keep to feed my spiders are kept as if they were pets. Plenty of food, and the right care is not only good for them, but will also ensure my spiders have a healthy and nutritious diet.
All of my spiders are free from parasites and regularly treated to prevent mites.
They are routinely handled (I don't get a choice in the matter most days) but they will need time to get used to your scent and timbre of your voice.
Jumping Spider Advice
I separate the babies as soon as they disperse to avoid cannibalization, I then raise the babies in much bigger pots than the typical sling tubes and this gives them room to explore the moss placed in there, make web hammocks and have much more space for hunting practice. They are fed and misted once a day, every day and are never 'power fed' to grow bigger faster, they are allowed to grow in their own natural time.
If I cannot guarentee the locale of a spider I will always refer to them as Phidippus Regius to avoid breeding issues, and offer a breeding line card in their order in case of future pairings.
I don't sell sub-adult or mature spiders as they are my much loved pets.
If you choose to buy from Arachnamoria you will have my Live Arrival Guarentee (LAG) should the very rare but heartbreaking event of a spider not making the journey occur and for the first 24 hours in your care. Any problems in the first 5 days, please drop me an email.
I will be on hand to offer getting started help, and aftercare help to new and veteran keepers throughout the life of your spider.
Heck, I'm here for questions even if you buy a spider elsewhere.

But I'm an Arachnaphobe...
As you can probably tell from some of the photographs on this site, my husband is a talented and avid photographer, so when he started to get into macro photography I wasn’t surprised that he thought a jumping spider would be great to snap, and even a great pet for our family. Our son has a love of entomology, and our daughter (like myself) has a hefty dose of arachnophobia so perhaps it would do us all good
I had greatly underestimated the spell of these little critters. With the arrival of our first spider I was fascinated; his little face, leg waving and inquisitive nature had me spellbound. I soon took full control of this new addition and found myself watching him move around his enclosure.
When it came to the day for the photography I was nervous of handling a spider; what if as soon as it jumped on me I flung the poor thing across the room?
I didn’t, in fact his little movements had me so captivated I didn’t want to put him away.
Research and Reducated
It was then that I wanted to know more about this little being.
With studying my for my English literature degree I had access to lots of academic papers so I devoured every bit of knowledge I could find on them; zoological studies, university field studies, and long term keepers and breeders blogs. I wanted to be sure I was giving him the very best care. It was while doing this that I realised a lot of information available (including that from the shop where we brought our that first spider) was not incorrect and not the spiders best interest. With more research our little spider had a bigger, more habitat focused enclosure, a healthy and varied diet, and inevitably, 10 new jumping spider neighbours.
After a few years and a lot of thought (plus another 10 spiders) it was time to take the step into breeding; I couldn't bare not to have my beautiful pets live on in some way.
Birth of the Spider Wrangler
Thing is having the offspring of my spiders means also having up to 900 brothers and sisters too, so this is why I created my little hobby job. With the oodles of experience, knowledge and know-how I poured it into a website to bring other keepers loved, healthy spiders, who will have them spellbound in a state I like to call Arachnamoria
Arachnamoria is now home to over 60 pet jumping spiders, and 1 moody tarantula. I am also a keen observer of wild Salticidae here and overseas, as well as being a member of the British Arachnological Society. I have written and published my own regal jumping spider care guide, and jumping spider colouring book with hand-drawn line work.
Not bad for a former arachnophobe.
